Reflecting on Pacific Coastal Airlines
Last Friday I shared some aerial shots from a Pacific Coastal Airlines flight for Sky Watch. Crafty Gardener suggested I share them as a part of Weekend Reflections, so here goes. Since the reflection on the shiny prop spinner followed us all the way from Vancouver to Powell River, BC, I had lots of opportunities to get more.
Here are two more from my collection.
Can you find what's different? -- Margy
I love those shots Margy. Is the difference the cloud location, in top photo it is in the bottom and in second photo it is in the top?
ReplyDeleteGood guess Crafty, that is one difference. But there is another as well.
ReplyDeleteI saw the same thing as Cafty gardner but also the markings on the engine. Love these photos. You have an eye for the unusual. Hope to see you and Wayne at our writers social in April.
ReplyDeleteBarb - Yes, the markings are different because the shots are not exactly the same view. But there's still another difference. Try looking at the reflection of the airplane.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about April. If Mom comes up to Powell River, it may work out. I'll let you know.

Well, you can see more land in the second shot, and it looks like there's something dangling from the nose of the plane. Doesn't look like landing gear. Is it a boat and its wake?
ReplyDeleteK
Kay - You got it, but it was the landing gear down. We are on final approach to Powell River Airport. If you click on the picture it is easier to see. - Margy
ReplyDeleteVery well noted reflection.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Awesome reflections! Nicely spotted and photographed.
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have had the chance to visit most of the California missions when I was a kid. I did see the local ones like San Juan Capistrano on school field trips.
Landing gear!
ReplyDelete2nd photo reflection shows front wheel down! great shots!
ReplyDeleteNice reflections.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots - and they give one a sense of the particular feeling of being in a smaller plane on the coast - freedom!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are really cool! Enlarged, they show amazing detail in the reflection! Well done!
ReplyDeleteHugs, GraceinAZ
That's a cool capture!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for stopping by to comment on my Weekend Reflections post. It was a fun photo opportunity and this was a great place to share it. - Margy
