Just a Dusting

It's been such a mild winter. The last time we were up at the cabin, we only got just a dusting of snow.

Even Goat Island didn't have much to show. On the other hand, we didn't have to shovel or sweep any off the roof.

Last year we had a storm as late as March, so there's still some time for snow play. -- Margy

  1. Yes … I well remember our snow surprises in February and March, Margy. Hopefully, this won’t be one of those years as I am quite enjoying the milder temperatures. I don’t mind the cold but it is so challenging to drive in the snowy weather.

  5. You have a lovely capture in the reflection shot and the view is awesome. These warm mild temperatures always fool us in thinking spring is just around the corner. As Penelope says, we can still expect those awful wind storms during February and March.

  6. That's a beautiful sky reflection! It's funny that you're having a mild winter in BC and we're having a frigid winter in California (well, frigid for us)!

  7. Love that reflection, and the drift wood is magnificent.

Yes, we used to live in Santa Barbara, and watched those "big" kites that took several people to manage. Thanks for your visit to my swf.

  8. You are lucky to have got away with so little snow so far, I wish we were as lucky. I can remember snow at Easter here one year x

  10. Well, if you really want some snow, we have more than we need here...
I like both of your images - the reflection of the hills, and that amazing driftwood and the fog in the distance!!

  11. Lovely shots. We haven't had much snow either but we've had more ice.

  12. Thanks everyone for stopping by and commenting on my Skywatch Friday post.

Thanks for the offer Judy, but I sort of like just a dusting or a little bit of snow that only lasts a few days. Just enough to know it's winter.
