A Dusting of Winter Snow

Yesterday morning we woke to a gentle snow storm.

It began at 2:00 in the morning and was still falling lightly when we opened the sliding glass door.

We don't get snow down at our elevation often, but when it happens we enjoy the experience. I just hope they got more in the high country. We'll need it come summer to keep our lake level up. -- Margy

  1. It looks so pretty, Margy, but I'm glad you don't get it so often that it becomes a nuisance.
Were you up the lake when the 2010 Olympics were nearby (as the crow flies)?

  3. Lovely photos. Is that your home in the bottom shot? Very pretty. The snow pack is pretty low so I've heard.

  5. What a cozy setting - it just needs a cup of tea and a few shortbread cookies. I really enjoy a peaceful snow, especially when I've no place to go.

  8. Beautiful photos! The high country here in Colorado has has an overabundance of snow this winter, which I hope will fill all the reservoirs in spring melt.

  10. It all looks so lovely and pretty, I could almost enjoy it myself. But you already know my fears of driving in snow, so I am glad we have managed to avoid any snow this winter (so far!) xxx
