Last time we had snow in Powell River we couldn't stay long enough to enjoy it. This time we got to stay at the cabin through the whole storm.
Storm probably isn't the right word. It was a very gentle dusting, but it lasted for almost two days.
Growing up in Southern California, I didn't get to experience snow unless we went up into the mountains. Being able to sit in my own living room and watch it snow is such a relaxing experience. Wayne, on the other hand, grew up in Upstate New York. He remembers huge drifts and lots of shoveling. He'll take this kind of snow any day. -- Margy
That is an amazing picture. Lovely that you can sit, watch and enjoy the snow xxx
ReplyDeleteReally atractive scene, I Love the way the snow is clinging to the rock ledges. All the best Gordon.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous, and cold. But it is beautiful.

Amazing pictures. What a beautiful view! Happy Sky Watch.
ReplyDeleteA pretty scene with the snow. We had three days of snow with an accumulation of 9 inches.
ReplyDeleteThe snow fall looks so pretty and mystical, gently wandering the lovely landscape.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is simply gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful there and so quiet and peaceful. Beautiful photos you're sharing today!
ReplyDeleteA perfect time to stay home and enjoy the snow. Fabulous photos.
ReplyDeleteLove your SkyWatch picture. It's simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love falling snow... only once did I have to shovel it (1975 Big Bear, boyfriend's family cabin)... I got praised by his dad for doing more work than him :)
ReplyDeleteI loved playing in the snow in Tuzla, Bosnia where I lived till I was 12. We would go down a 10 foot sled run over & over & over & over again. Never got tiring.
I showed your pics of the lake in the mist from the cabin... she LOVED it.
It's so beautiful! I love gently falling snow, especially when it lasts for two days. I'm so glad you got to relax and enjoy it:)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for stopping by and commenting on my SWF post.
ReplyDeleteTash - I didn't get to sled much as a kid, but when I did it was fun. My dad made me a wood sled with wide metal covered runners. That was a fast ride for a little kid. I still have it. It was something I didn't want to leave behind when we left LA.
Stephanie - I think you got more on your side of the Strait. Guess Mt. Washington finally has enough snow for at least part of a ski season.
