Sunrise over Goat Island was at about 9:00 a.m. The rays were just visible through the hazy layer.
And then about half an hour later it lifted and headed through first narrows. Here's a quick video of the last tendrils moving south.

That crazy sun. Yesterday the sun was brilliant early in the morning but around 9--10 it became overcast and the sun looked like yours but by afternoon it was out again.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could take night shots too. All I get is darkness. I try to take the town lights and get just nothing but I have been lucky with the moon. I just kept trying and I think my camera just finally gave up and said OK!!! MB

Lovely scenery...the BC coast is a favourite place of mine
ReplyDeleteI love foggy mornings, especially on lakes! I hadn't seen one in ages, so I'm really glad you shared this with us :o)
ReplyDeleteThat rising mist amongst the trees is to die for! Such a gorgeous place. I enjoyed the video too. I bet the air is so fresh and clean too. Thanks for stopping by my SWF.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images and I loved seeing the fog move in the video. Since I live in the desert, I don't get to see much fog.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos, and the video is the perfect ending! So nice!
ReplyDeleteThis made me long for the Coast, Margy...thank you for the Video. There is something so beautiful to me in that wispy fog!
ReplyDeleteLove the misty and foggy mornings. Hmmm...sunrise at 9? I can extend my sleep for a while...
