I planted the cloves in late March in several of my unused pots on the deck. This make for easier to water. By June, they looked like this. Of course, I didn't know what was happening under the ground.

Growing Garlic

I don't know why they don't have wrappers, but it does sound like they were in the ground for a long time. I did well with my garlic this year and I have just planted next year's crop, which I hope to harvest in July. Apparently if you plant them in the autumn the bulbs are bigger :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me, I planted some garlic too last spring. I forgot about them :(
ReplyDeleteThey will probebly have no rappers also. Can we still use them that way?
Well at least you got a crop. MB
ReplyDeleteWell, now you don't have to peel them! Sounds good to me.

My veggie garden was such a total failure. This looks like success to me!
ReplyDeleteThe garlic is lasting so far, but I'm afraid without the wrappers they won't last all winter. Any good suggestions for garlic recipes? - Margy
