Out With Summer, In With Fall

Last Monday when we headed out of Hole in the Wall to First Narrows, the sky told the whole tale.  To the north it was Fall.

Looking south, the encroaching storm was chasing Summer away.

I just wish it could last a little longer!-- Margy

  1. I wish it could last longer, too, Margy, and I never thought I'd say that about summer in Alberta. But we are having very cold nights now, and at the moment (nearly noon) it is only +12C, less than 54F.
I was in Virginia for a Blog Fest last weekend. Perfect temperatures there, but I suspect their summers are more than warm.
When I get used to the cool temperature, I'll be happy, because Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons.

We are having glorious weather right now and we are making the most of it as we know it will slip away very quickly.

  4. I wish we could tell that big old storm to quit chasing summer around - that's not nice. I saw today that our temperatures are 10 degrees cooler than normal - so I'm hoping for some warmer days ahead - but tomorrow they say 2 inches of rain, so I think I'll bake an Apple Pudding cake.

  5. Beautiful scenery! I am sad that summer is over as well. Finally broke down and purchased an electric blanket.

  6. I'm with you! I wish summer would stick around awhile. I miss it already. Though we had lots of hot weather it seemed to go by so very fast.

  7. Thanks everyone for stopping by and commenting on my Skywatch post. Looks like fall has taken up residence for sure. Lots of rain, but very little sun nowadays. - Margy
