Goodbye Summer

The next time I get back up to the cabin it'll be fall. I love summer up the lake. It's hard to say goodbye to all the sun, warm water for swimming, and clear skies.

You can already tell the days are getting shorter and nights are getting longer. Goodbye summer, hello fall and your golden leaves and crisp nights. We better get going on our woodpile soon! -- Margy

  3. I don't want to think about this, since end of August I already have a strong feeling autumn is coming, bleah. I would like to live somewhere where there is always summer, although, in all honesty, the fact that pumpkin season comes makes all autumn thing sound awesome too ;)))

It's sad that summers nearly over but each season has its own beauty.

  11. Lovely reflection - and it must be hard to pack up for a while - but it's great you have utilized the property well over your summer.

  13. We have had a really lousy summer with very little sunshine. Now we are approaching autumn I feel that we have missed something and feel quite on edge. I hope that an Indian summer might allay these feelings xxxx

I wish it'd not just go so soon, but I can't complain. Some other places haven't even the slightest summer fun this year. :(

  20. Greetings from Oz.
I took a peek through all of your photos, they are lovely.
The world is amazing, you are heading for fall and we have come into spring.. All the beautiful colors from the leaves, and then the sadness when they fall from the trees. The first time I saw all the empty trees I thought they were dying, I have never experienced that before.I was so glad for spring to bring them back all green and fresh once more. Crystal Mary
