All Fall Down

Fall was late to come and quick to go. After a recent windy storm, the maples let loose of their leaves.

And they graced the surface of our watery front yard just before sunset.

Watery front yard you ask? Yes, we live in a float cabin on (literally) Powell Lake in British Columbia. If you would like to learn more about this type of lifestyle, take a look at my categories Float Cabin Living and Float Cabin Construction. If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I'd be glad to answer them. -- Margy

  1. It's like that here, too! That wind storm took down all the rest of those beautiful leaves leaving us with rain, grey skies, and naked trees! *Sigh* Ah well, time to look forward to the Christmas season, I guess. :D

  4. A float cabin -is that the same as a hous boat? Would be serendipitous, since my post for WW is about a houseboat! You have a great view - with all those tall trees around you with fall colors:)

  6. What beautiful shapes and colors those leaves have. I love the reflections you've captured in the water. And what a great "yard" you have around your floating cabin!

  7. Thanks everyone for stopping by and commenting on Watery Wednesday. This is a new meme for me, but a very appropriate one since I live floating on the water. - Margy
