Home Before Dark

Each evening at about 8:30, the Queen of Burnaby brings visitors and Powell Riverites home from Vancouver Island.

On Monday night she was a bit early, so she took the long route along Harwood Island while waiting for the North Island Princess to leave the Powell River dock.

Powell River is on the Coastal BC mainland, but like an island, you can only reach us by water or air. That makes us a quiet community with lots of uncrowded back country places to explore. -- Margy

  3. You do get a good view of the Strait Margy!

  4. If you are unreachable, save by water or air, are automobiles few and far between in your fair community?

Sky of wonder, sky of bliss,
Who would think a sky like this
Would permit my eyes to see
Sun and moon and stars for free?

  5. Thanks for stopping by to comment this SWF Linnea and Kim.

Paul, you are sure right. Quite a view from the front room and porch. Sunsets are spectacular.

Magical Mystical Teacher - we are served by car ferries from the south coast and Vancouver Island, so motor vehicles are as common as in any town.
