Long Tow Home

On a brisk Fall day, the Bayliner gets a tow back up the lake to our float cabin.

She'll stay moored there for the winter.

Plus, she's a safer boat to use on blustery days when we need to get to town.

Meanwhile, the North Harbour in Powell River is undergoing major renovations. -- Margy

That lake is just gorgeous, Margy. Fabulous scenery. I can't believe I've never seen it.

The pictures are stunning. We just have a small dory as a tender which sometimes is very bumpy and wet, I do envy you the bayliner. I have always said that one should have a powerboat when you just want to get somewhere and a sailing yacht when you have the luxury of time!

I enjoyed all the pretty sky scenes you shared today. However, the second one is breathtaking.

Oh, clouds, clouds, clouds1 We don't see them that often in California, especially not like in the 2nd pic!

Thank you for sharing such glorious vistas. I am learning to enjoy the comfort of my forest, but miss watching the weather talk to the lake.

Well it looks like blue skies there---well on the day the pics were taken. We have blue today after quite a few days of gray. Yesterday we (daughter, GDaughter and myself) worked out at the barn and got quite a bit done before the rains started.
I scrolled through your blog to see all I have missed.
Glad your Mom is doing better.
I think I will email Betty just to say hello. MB

Such a pretty place! I don't know much about the Powell River so I think I'll read more of your blog and then I will!

Hi Margy, Art and I went for lunch at the Thaidal Zone the other day and it was so strange to see harbour without any boats in it but I can't wait to see how it will turn out.
