Morning Glow
I don't often get up early enough for sunrise, but on a recent morning I was rewarded for my efforts.
The wind was absolutely calm, reflecting the rays of sunlight passing through a thin layer of clouds, breaking them into the colours of the spectrum. Ice crystals in the high clouds act like prisms to refract the sunlight, causing the rainbow-like display.
Two logs, tied to the cabin deck for future firewood, framed the solar reflection nicely. -- Margy

Beautiful pictures , I love the one with the two logs, right w/the future firewood. When you burn wood for heat you look at every piece of wood that way. In our case its fallen limbs from our woods. Pretty cool you just wait for them to float by. You got the good life for sure : )
I'm so enjoying your adventure, so much to still read . Thank you for sharing. I'm sure your books are good reads as well and plan to check into.
We are planning to build a small cabin on land tho :). My folks dream was to live on a river boat but that dream never happened.
They did get in the country/woods and loved it vey much. Mom 83 is still living in the woods. We take her fishing so she can get her fix of the water in.
I'll sure be thinking of you all when it's mowing time here in Missouri, lol.

Love these awesome mystical sky photos from your special place in the universe!
I love to be up early but I haven't managed to do it around here yet. Your perspective is wonderful.

P.S. I/we have started to build a small cabin...sod turning/clearing started today! I'm pretty excited.
Stopping by just to send a kiss, Margie! Lovely sunrise, really worthy it! :o)
Love from us.
Thanks everyone for stopping by for SWF.
Yes Linda, you tend to look at wood based on purposes you have for it. In our case it might be firewood, log booms or decorations. Each is important in it's own way.
Carolyn, great news about the new cabin. You'll have to keep me posted. Where is it located?
